Which Wiki can meet the following requirements.

I started looking at general knowledge management tools and have settled on a WIKI as my choice.  Which shareware of commercial Wiki can meet the following requirements.

•    Portal
•    Organizing information
•    Search
•    Index
•    Access rights, roles.
•    Versioning
•    WYSIWYG Data Editing
•    Import/Export/Convert to/from Microsoft Word
•    Integration with Outlook and SharePoint -- import/export directly to/from outlook and co-exist with a Sharepoint environment.

I can call directly the commercial Wikis  -- but thought I ask the site directly.

joelevenson,

  Everything you want to do can be done with Deki Wiki natively or through the robust almost 100 method API.  Deki Wiki, http://wiki.mindtouch.com/Deki_Wiki, is a Free and Open Source Wiki that is backed by a community of over 1,000 strong and also has commerical support: http://wiki.mindtouch.com/Deki_Wiki/Dek … rt_Pricing

You can download it right now and try it out, I'm sure you'll find it is the best user experience you've had with a wiki along with a vast feature set.

The integration with Sharepoint and Word is not shipped with Deki Wiki but can be developed using our API.  If you have any questions feels free to drop us a line here: http://www.mindtouch.com/support

Re: Which Wiki can meet the following requirements.

Confluence can also meet most of these requirements:

General info and free online evaluation is available here:
  http://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence

We have the best SharePoint integration of any wiki, in fact we have a partnership with Microsoft to deliver a connector with SharePoint. You can read about it and download it here:
  http://www.atlassian.com/sharepoint

To your points:
* Portal
* Organizing information
* Search
* Index

We have all these (full-text search, including attachments), many ways of indexing and organizing information (you can break your content down into 'spaces' - logical groupings of content).

* Access rights, roles.

We have (probably) the best permissioning system of any wiki.  You can manage permissions on a per-space and a per-page basis, with inherited permissions from parent pages.

* Versioning

Jonathan Nolen wrote a great blog about wiki diff a long time ago:
  http://www.jnolen.com/blog/2005/02/wiki_diff.html

Based on his recommendations, we now have a fantastic wiki diff engine.  Try it out:
  http://confluence.atlassian.com/pages/p … ageId=9070

* WYSIWYG Data Editing

Of course - this is now a standard feature of most wikis.

* Import/Export/Convert to/from Microsoft Word

We have a commercially supported plugin that works a treat to import Word documents:
  http://confluence.atlassian.com/display … ice+Add-in

The one we could improve on is our Outlook support (though there is a POP email support).

Good luck with your search and let us know if you have any questions (sales@atlassian.com).
