Hello friends,
I have to register a user for the Twiki created for our department.I have tried registering on Registration page .Actually, wiki send the activation code in an email to the user's id. But, we do not have an mailing daemon running on the system. So,it cannot send the code. So I wanted to know which file would the Activation code be found.I have checked "registrationapprovals.txt" and couldn't find any code there. Please suggest!
I also wanted to create a mailing daemon so that it redirects the activation code to the email address specified.PPlease suggest how to do that. Thanks!!

Hello,
have a look at your "working" directory. In the subdirectoy "registration_approvals" you will find textfiles with the activation code.
You can change the directory in the "configure", see in the "General path settings" section, there you will find the path at "{WorkingDir}".
In section "Mail and Proxies" in the "configure" script are the setting about emailing.
Best regards
Sven

Sure, when you install TWiki, you have to specify numbers of settings for the installation. You can edit the data/Localsite.cfg or use the configure script.
To access the configure script use "http://localhost/bin/configure". It is a script in your bin directory.
