Installation aka My head hurts

Hi,
I've been looking for a simple, non-database wiki for a while now as an alternative to a blog, which doesn't serve my purposes as my content is non-linear and I find a blog a real pain in the backside to maintain. The wiki route seems better suited for me.
The server configuration is out of my hands and does not support MySQL, so I landed upon MoinMoin via this site as it seems ideal.
One minor problem: I tried just copying it over as I assumed it worked the same as a blog in that regard, where you just fire up the index.html and it'll sort itself out, but that clearly doesn't work so I read the installation notes included in the package and the command line stuff (including the references to installing Python) are way over my head.
Can anyone give me any pointers as to how to install MoinMoin on my web space without it descending into techie jargon?
Am I going for the wrong wiki? I looked at TiddlyWiki but it was too simple and blog-like and I want separate pages.
Simple, short steps in small words for this user, please. Feel free to ask questions if there's any information that I've missed, before dismissing me as a noob not worthy of a response. You were all noobs once.
Many thanks.

Re: Installation aka My head hurts

Hi vertigo,

I can't help you with a MoinMoin install, so I'll leave that to others with more MoinMoin experience. However, if you want to use a simple wiki without the headaches of installing it yourself, please checkout Luminotes at http://luminotes.com/

By default, Luminotes does have the same blog-like structure as TiddlyWiki, but you can easily open links on separate pages if that suits your needs better. Anyway, let me know if you have any questions about the software.

Hi, yeh, thanks for the answer, but that's not really what I'm looking for as it's more blog-like than wiki-like.
