WikiMatrix / Looking for a good, free option for creating a Knowledge Base?

The last time I built a KB I was using Perl CGI scripts and Excite as a search engine. So, I am looking for something easy to build, use and maintain. I see KB mentioned in descriptions about this app but nothing specific. Can or would someone please clue me in?
