Hey there,
I'm looking for a wiki and let's say I'm a noob to that stuff (just working at wikipedia but I don't know anything about the software). The wiki I am looking for should be easy to use and simple but still quite powerfull. The thing is that I need it for my everyday stuff so it should furthermore:
- be not visible to others because there will be some important personal Data in it (are there powerful desktop wikis? Everything I found was ... well ... no comment. Or is there some easy way to use a normal wiki on your notebook when being offline?)
- use a powerfull but easy syntax like MediaWiki (because I just know that)
- be able to run a calendar, a notebook, a timer and all that stuff (are there wikis that have these plugins installed from the start?)
- can be personalised in colour, shape and so on
- can link just not to URLs but also to data on my Computer (which shouldn't be a problem)
You know, I'm just quite new to all this and I'm looking for something for just every day to have one source for all information I need in my life. Still the biggest problem first: is there a wiki that can be used on my Computer so no one can see the information in it? The wizard didn't ask for that.
Thank you

Do you need more information or are there no wikis like the ones I'm looking for?
