FormattedSearch in TWiki: HELP!!!

Hello all,

I'm a relative newbie to the wonders of wiki, and I was trying to decipher the syntax for a formatted search. In this instance, I'm searching for topics containing a particular word (let's say "CiscoSystems") but ONLY if they're followed by something else. Example: "CiscoSystemsRouter" and "CiscoSystemsLinksysRouter" would return as results, but NOT "CiscoSystems". I'm guessing it must have something to do with the $pattern variable, but I'm at a loss, and I can't find documentation with much detail on the syntax.

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!

Re: FormattedSearch in TWiki: HELP!!!

Assuming you want to search for "CiscoSystemsSomething" in topic text, not page name. You can use a regular expression search, such as:

%SEARCH{ "CiscoSystems[A-Z0-9]" regex="on" .... }%

To search for "CiscoSystemsSomething" in page name use this regular expression search:

%SEARCH{ "CiscoSystems[A-Z0-9]" regex="on" scope="topic" topic="CiscoSystems*" .... }%

BTW, the preferred place for TWiki support is the Support web at TWiki.org where more helpful eyes are watching, http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Support/WebHome

See TWiki details on WikiMatrix.
