Hi guys!
I recently programmed a new wiki engine, called WikiTimeScale. Its purpose is to illustrate the events of history on a graphical timeline! It is of course open source and can be edited and used by everyone under the terms of the GNU GPL. It also can be installed by everone on his/her own webserver. (There is an easy to use setup-wizard with the source-code).
But its also possible to just take part by entering some new events/entries or register as a user on wikitimescale.org

Other wikis that offer timelines:
Mediawiki has a timeline plugin, http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/EasyTimeline
TWiki has two timeline plugins: EasyTimelinePlugin, http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Plugins/E … linePlugin and TimelinePlugin, http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Plugins/TimelinePlugin. (See other TWiki details on WikiMatrix.)
