After three release candidates, a new stable version of DokuWiki is available. There are no new features since the last release candidate but again a handful of bugs were fixed.

Users still running the old stable release 2006-03-09 should upgrade now.

This release adds multiple new features like automatic background draft saving, support for storing page metadata, Action Plugins, namespace links, and an install wizard. It also features many improvements and performance optimizations over the previous stable release. Many smaller bugs were fixed.
