Changing default skins

Hi, I installed dokuwiki a while back, and to begin with had problems with being able to use it. I installed a sidebar, and managed to make that the default. Now I want to go back to the origional default, but can't for the life of me remember how to do it.

Can somebody tell me where I go to make the changes?

Thanks.

Re: Changing default skins

Assuming you just installed one of the available sidebar templates, just change your $conf['template'] option back to default. If you modified the default template (which is not recommended) you should just download the DokuWiki tarball again and replace the lib/tpl/default directory with the one from the tarball.

Re: Changing default skins

Hi m8, sorry its taken so long for me to reply. I haven't been able to get to my pc.

I managed to work out what my problem was. I have the 'Configuration Manager' and changed something in that, and it worked.

Another question I had was I have one page on my wiki, which is causing some problems for me. I use Firefox, and the page is slightly larger than the screen. In Firefox that's ok, because the left to right scroll bar is at the bottom of the screen. But if I change over to IE6, the scroll bar is incroprated into the page, and is between the sidebar and the side of the screen, which makes it almost impossible to read the page.

Here's a link to a picture I took of the Firefox page, where the scroll bar is in the right place,

Here's a link to the picture I took of where the scroll bar when I use IE6

Is there any way I can get the scroll bar in IE6 to be in the same place as it is in Firefox?

One other question, I hope you don't mind me asking. Do you offer support on Templates? I downlwoaded the MonoBook Template, which I quite liked, but couldn't work out how to get the links to different pages in the sidebar. I couldn't navigate anywhere around my site, only the start page appeared. How do I get the nevigation links to appear in the sidebar.

Sorry for the questions.
Thanks again for your help,

You might want to consider ordering DokuWiki Business Support

Re: Changing default skins

I would have, but unfortunately right now I don't have that kind of money. I'm unemployed, for health reasons. I'm just about managing to keep the site up and running on the server. I know that's not your problem, and I'm sorry to have had to mention it.

Is there anyway you can help with the problem of the scroll bar in IE6? I can do without the new template for a while, until I can afford the support.

Thank you  for your reply,

Hi; for monobook you have to modify pref.php in the user folder to configure anything.

If you download and install the new version made available on 04-21-2006, you can simply make a file called "wiki:navigation" (without any further changes) and edit that file to make your navigation. (View the source of http://tatewake.com/wiki/doku.php?id=wi … mp;do=edit for an example.)

I understand if it's not 100% intuitive, so if you still have trouble figuring it out after that, see if you can get a friend who knows scripting languages like php to help.

Good luck,
