Docuwiki and PHP security

I am thinking of installing a docuwiki (probably on Win2k IIS 5.0) but we are concerned about security as it uses PHP. Can it be said to be free of the security problems detailed in http://www.sitepoint.com/print/php-security-blunders

Re: Docuwiki and PHP security

Well, nobody can guarantee you that a software is free of security bugs. As far as I know there are none of the mentioned problems in DokuWiki. Of yourse you are free to check this your self by having a look at the code.

BTW. PHP isn't by default less secure than any other scripting language. As long as the programmer knows what she does it is possible to write secure code in all langugaes.

Careful: I'm the lead developer of WikiMatrix and DokuWiki so my posts may be biased ;-)
