Re: api in wiki (updating the wiki automatically by software)

Wikidot (http://www.wikidot.com) supports updates, new pages etc via API including metadata, tags, parenting, page categories etc. Each master admin on paid accounts (not free accounts) is given an API read/write key. Updating can all be done via the free, offline downloadable editor from http://www.wdeditor.com/ and work is going on fast on extending the API functionality.
