nice one. However, I was wondering what went wrong when
(stupid me) uploading too big .jpg files (more than 1024x768),
and (stupider me) uploading BMP file with .jpg extension. This
was shown in a message-line at the top of the screen after
'save' of preferences, but I didn't see it. Perhaps either put the
message-line near the 'save' button, or add a reminder near
there ("if something doesn't work, please see message-line ...")
