Hello,
We're looking into a wiki and at the moment are considering Twiki.
Can you confirm that search through attachment is only via a plug-in?
That the plug-in does not necessarily work on Windows?
That Twiki WYSIWYG is also via a plug-in?
Thanks

TWiki's internal search allows very powerful searches, needed for wiki applications. It does not search in attachments though. There are several extensions available to search in attachments. Personally I have used the SearchEnginePluceneAddOn. There are more, see Tag:search.
The easiest way to get TWiki installed on Windows is with TWikiVMDebianStable. It also performs better than IIS on Windows.
The current TWiki 4.1 production release ships with a Kupu editor based WYSIWYG integration. It has some known issues. I recommend to install the TinyMCEPlugin, which is a much nicer WYSIWYG editor. It will be pre-installed in the upcoming TWiki 4.2 release.
