Fluctuating statistics?

I noticed that the statistics displayed in the WikiMatrix home go up and down, not just up. For example, a few days ago MediaWiki and TWiki compares have been over 200K each, now they are 196K an 194K, respectively. Also the "most viewed" goes down sometimes, such as TWiki had 2350 a few hours ago, now at 2337.

Out of curiosity, what is going on?

Re: Fluctuating statistics?

That's easy :-) To display statistics which are fair to newcomers in the Matrix we generate them from data of the last 30 days. If your daily views go down - your overall statistic will, too.

I guess I should add a little explanation to the statistic box.

Re: Fluctuating statistics?

Ah, that explains it. How about. labelling the box "Statistics over last 30 days" or "30 Days Statistics"?
