Hi guys,
I was hoping you could recommend a wiki for the company I work for. Some background info is:
-About 150 employees
-Law Firm
-MUST be user-friendly for computer novices (eg. reliable WYSIWYG editor)
-Preferably free
-We would like to host it ourselves
-Provides good search functionality
I have been looking at FosWiki and XWiki so far and really like them. I particularly like the ability to attach files to pages for both of them, and for XWiki I really like that pages can be exported as PDFs, people can make comments, and there is an included blog and photo area.
Out of those two, which do you guys think is the preferred solution given our needs? Also, are there any others that I should consider looking at?
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide, it will be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Josh

Josh,
You should definitely look at SamePage by creating a trial account at http://samepage.spwiki.com
It has a robust search functionality and very powerful WYSIWYG editor that is intended for the non-technical users. It can be installed on your premise by downloading from http://downloads.etouch.net
Best regards,
SamePage Team

Foswiki is flatfile and xwiki is SQL based. I hear that SQL is generally
better, is that the case? Foswiki seems to be pretty fast even if it is
flatfile. ![]()
