WikkaWiki is a flexible, standards-compliant and lightweight wiki engine written in PHP, which uses MySQL to store pages. Forked from WakkaWiki. Designed for speed, fine-grained access control, extensibility, and security. Released under the GPL license.

WikkaWiki's speed, extensibility and easy hackability are among the most prominent and appreciated features of this engine. Compared to heavier wiki engines, which integrate several built-in functions, WikkaWiki's goal is to keep its core as small as possible while developing an architecture that supports easy extensibility through plugin modules.

Among its notable features: 100% modular themes, full revision control, syndication tools (RSS feeds, Wikiping), global and per-page access control through ACL, advanced syntax highlighting (GeSHi) and built-in support for mindmaps (Freemind).

Wikka: Edit screen

The edit screen can be easily opened by double-clicking on the page. An intuitive edit bar provides a GUI support for Wikka markup.

Wikka: Embedded mindmaps

Wikka provides out-of-the box support for mindmaps. Mindmaps can be generated either by embedding Freemind data in a page or by linking to them.

Wikka: Page Administration module

One of the new administration modules introduced with Wikka 1.1.6.4, allowing admins to perform several maintenance operations on pages and users.
