TWiki: Content Includes (with Parameters)
TWiki offers content includes with several twists:
- Include another wiki page: %INCLUDE{OtherTopic}%
- Include another web page: %INCLUDE{http://example.com/}%
- Define sections or %STARTINCLUDE% / %STOPINCLUDE% and include content selectively
- Apply a regular expression pattern to include content selectively
- Include a page and pass along parameters that can be used like other %VARIABLES% in the included page
- Include previous revisions of pages (e.g. the last signed off document version)

These features allow users to create composed documents of arbitray complexity. For example, the TWiki reference manual is created this way:
- One top level page: TWikiReferenceManual
- Sub-pages that have a TOC on top and a %STARTINCLUDE%, indicating where to start an include: Example TWikiSystemRequirements
- Composed big TWiki reference manual of several 100 pages, included from sub-pages: TWikiDocumentation
The include feature is also frequenly used by TWiki applications.
