Wetpaint limits you to two different really dreadful statistics providers. One is Google statistics, which demands your home address, telephone number, and other intrusive unneccessary information to provide a free basic service. The other is SiteMeter, which is fine in concept but in practive affixes a bizarre code to your username and then fails to send your password at all when you've forgotten it.
Nor can you independently get an account with a competently-run, no-strings web stats provider (like statcounter, which is normal) because wetpaint does not permit you access to html.
So, technically yes, they provide statistics, but in practice they simply fail this one.
