Additional Requirements for DokuWiki
DokuWiki runs without any special requirements to external tools. However if such tools are available, DokuWiki can benefit from it.
DokuWiki has an optional spell checker which needs aspell installed on the server Dokuwiki runs on.
Images are automatically resized in DokuWiki using PHP's GD library support if avaialable. However the open source tool collection ImageMagick is more powerful in certain cases. If the tools are available DokuWiki can utilize them.
